System crashes when using map function

When trying to place photos on a map in Lightroom (I'm using release 2015.12), my entire system often crashes when I attempt to place photos onto a map.  Sometimes it works, but often (maybe 20% of the time) this action causes a crash.  Before it crashes, I get a blue screen that says "Stop code: attempted write to readonly memory.  What failed: t1pusb64.sys".  This blue screen with the error info appears for about 30 seconds or so, and then the system just goes into a hard reboot.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks

System going into hard reboot ... I assume you mean that your computer shuts down and restarts ... indicates either a hardware malfunction or bad video driver. So re-install the current version of your video driver. If that doesn't help, you want to start running diagnostics on all hardware components on your computer, and don't forget to check to see if the fans are operating properly to prevent your CPU overheating.
