RAW CC freeze - can't get out!

I upgraded RAW CC - as suggested by the program, and it just do not work. RAW opens and freeze. I can not turn it off, cant get back to the desktop, and have to turn off the entire Mac be pressing the button on the machine.

I called Adobe and talked to a man from India who apologized for the inconvenience etc., but there was nothing he could do.

What am I to do? I badly need the program.

Open photoshop and go to Photoshop CC>Preferences>Camera Raw, uncheck Use Graphics Processor and then restart photoshop and try  opening a camera raw file.
