PS startar (enligt Task Manager) men öppnar inget fönster på skärmen (i Windows 10)

Hej,

för några veckor sedan hade jag motsvarande problem med Lightroom (CC 2015), men efter att jag först avinstallerat och sedan installerat MS C++ redistributable packages, så återgick LR till normalt beteende.

Nu har PS (CC 2017) gett mig samma problem. Oavsett hur jag startar programmet (från Explorer, från LR eller från Creative Cloud-appen) så händer inget på skärmen, men Task Manager visar att PS exekverar som en bakgrundsprocess på precis samma sätt som LR gjorde innan jag (enligt ovan) lyckades avhjälpa det problemet. LR fungerar OK.

Efter det att jag ominstallerade C++-dll-erna har jag inte installerat någon ny programvara på den aktuella datorn, vilket borde innebära de berörda dll-erna inte modifierats. Alla andra programvaror beter sig korrekt.

På min andra Win10-maskin fungerar PS och LR och allt annat utan problem. Bridge har hela tiden fungerat problemfritt på båda maskinerna, liksom den PSE12 som jag ibland använder för vissa ändamål.

Vad kan förorsaka problem av det slag som PS har? Hur eliminerar man lämpligen uppkomsten av problemet?

Hi

Try holding down Alt+Ctrl+Shift  as you start Photoshop. If you time this correctly then you should get a prompt asking you to delete the current settings. Accept this and Photoshop should reset preferences and start with default settings.
