AE incorrectly interprets External Compositing tag

I'm trying to import position, rotation and scale data from an cinema 4d animation using external composition tag. The motion trajectory seems to be correct, but Z and Y rotation axis seem to switched, scale is incorrect.

I manually adjusted these settings, but after that there is still some rotation offset which I can't manually correct.

I am having second thoughts about the whole process. What am I doing wrong? Sure AE doesn't want us to manually adjust (unsuccessfully) the exported keyframes?

I've seen some answers that pointed to errors in c4d projects, so I include this link to c4d project:

LED OFF is the solid layer.

Absolutely. You need to check Render Settings -> Save -> Compositing project file- > Include 3d data. If you render on a single machine, .aec file is automatically generated when you render, otherwise you can click Save project file. Save checkboxes need to be checked.

The other part you need to be aware is how your axis is positioned. Click Enable axis modification (left toolbar icon or shortcut L) and modify it. Try a few options, one is certainly going to be correct.
