Edited a number and bulleted paragraph in Acrobat Pro DC

Hello: I'm having trouble changing the numbering on a paragraph that includes bullets. Using the "edit" feature alone isn't working. I can change other text in the box, but not the paragraph's number. I didn't create the doc to begin with. just trying to edit it. Thanks.
