I have Adobe CS6 and up until now all has been working just fine.  My CROP function has stopped and there is no way I can think of to get it back; any ideas?  Thanks

I presume you are using Photoshop CS6?

What exactly happens when you try to use the Crop tool?

Have you tried resetting the Crop tool?

Have you tried resetting Photoshop Preferences?

Yes it is Photoshop CS6.

The crop tool is not available in the tools selection and the drop down menu "image" the crop selection is grayed out.

I have not made my own preferences so no need to delete a file that does not exist, (I did check though just to make sure.)

I forgot to add that I did the tool reset (all tools) and I get 2 options for cropping now but, they are small cropping choices.  I was able to make just about any size crop I wanted before.

It's not about deleting your own preferences. Sometimes Photoshop's default preferences can get corrupted. Resetting them forces Photoshop to clean itself and recreate its defaults. This often clears up odd issues such as what you're currently experiencing.

Re-set Photoshop's Preferences before going any further..

OK, is there a specific way to reset the preferences other than deleting the file listed on the one web page?  I looked in my files for that file extension but there wasn't one.

John, I watched the video on how to reset my preferences and was able to follow them to the "T" and my CROP tool works again.  I thank you for your assistance with this issue.  You were very helpful.

Thanks a bunch sir!
