I have tried to record directly fro mteh Mic and also importind a pre recorded file, as well as a song.

The result is all the same - s-l-o-w motion sound, almost like 40% speed or less and not synced with the mouth.

Any suggestions

Hmmm, check your CH preferences and play with the settings below, especially that last checkbox...it sounds like there's a sample rate issue.

On my side the sample rate is locked at 4411 / 192000hz

On mine no attempt to force hardware . . . .  either.

Also Device Class is locked at MME (no additional options)

Don't have on my version the I/O Buffer Size

Appreciate any other insight or suggestions

If those options are locked, that sounds like the issue. I see several options under samples and Hz on my end. You may want to try another type of mic (USB? headset?) and see if that helps.

Was perplexed for a couple weeks. Had to work on a different computer to get an animation done. It was definitely the sample rate! Once I dropped it from 96000 to 44100 the issues went away! Thanks so much. I wonder if it installed with those settings as a default?
