I'm using Creative Cloud on an iMac. Can it also be used on a PC, or would that require another membership?
Yes, you are permitted two activations. Go ahead and download Creative Cloud for desktop, sign-in, go to the apps tab and install the apps you want.

To be clear, I already have a paid-for license, but can it be used on both a Mac and PC? It's on my Mac now. In the older versions, back in the day, you couldn't cross platforms. Thank you

Yep - you can have two downloads, though they shouldn't be used at the same time. They can be both Mac or both PC or one of each.

Thank you, Derek. I was considering the purchase of an inexpensive PC laptop, but wanted to be sure this was workable.

Might be worth checking the system requirement: InDesign system requirements

Derek, this is for Photoshop/Lightroom CC, not InDesign. Does this still apply? Sorry for the confusion, I just don't want to purchase a computer and find it incompatible. Thanks.

Yes, it does. You can install Photoshop/Lightroom on two Windows computers, two Macs or one of each.
I think you will feel better if you follow this link to Adobe's page on the Photography plan: Lightroom and Photoshop | Adobe Creative Cloud Photography plan and then scroll down to the bottom of the page to see this:
