replace existing file bug using autocad

I plot drawings from autocad to acrobat all the time.  Since installing XI Pro I get an error message when trying to replace an existing file with one that I want to write over the existing.  The error message tells me that the file is open.  Meanwhile, all I have to do is delete the file, and then the program prints.  So obviously the file is not open, because I don't think windows would allow me to delete the file if the window was open.  I also find that I can write over files when printing from other programs such as excel, so I'm assuming that this is an issue between acrobat pro and autocad.  Any thoughts or suggestions where to turn or what to do?
