The email does not work in the form widget. It says the email has been received but it doesn't show up in Mail. I set up a button with a "mailto:" with the same email address which works fine.

Assuming this is on a live website(?), have you checked your hosting provider supports form entries being sent to an email address that doesn't match your domain? It may be that, if you are trying to send form entries to '@mymail.co.uk', for example, but your website is 'mywebsite.co.uk' your hosting provider may require a '@mywebsite.co.uk' email address.
