Adobe Reader X and Adobe Reader XI doesn't open historic files from server

Hello,

I got a OS Win 10 pro and we got a server 2008.

When we try to open a PDF file directly from a folder in the server, it opens with no problem.

But when we try to access these same files (which are now "Historic Files" inside the Adobe Software) they can't be opened:

On Adobe Reader X - "There was an error opening this Document. This file cannot be found"

On Adobe Reader XI - "There was an error opening this Document. Access denied"

We already tried to uncheck the "Enable Protected Mode at startup", but it doesn't help (we tried this on both versions)

Any Ideas?

Hello,

What is the current version please?

Cause when we had the XI version installed and we did the 'check for update' it said that we had the latest version and there's no need for an update.

Adobe Reader X and XI are obsolete. X is now out of support, and XI will be out of support very soon. The product is renamed Acrobat Reader DC.

By the way, the "check for update" never tells you if there is a new version.
