I came to the adobe website to lease a copy of illustrator a few weeks ago. I got a confirmation of being billed US33.89 per month. When I downloaded illustrator I was confronted with it being a trial version. Did I mistakenIy lease creative cloud per month? don't understand creative cloud, nor want anything to do with it at this point, I would like to know how to get a real support person to talk to at adobe to get my monthly lease payment used for a real download of illustrator. (I think I explained it all) - John

Oh, is that what that cloud icon and pop up messages I'm getting is about? That's how I get illustrator?

I turned off the cloud icon thing. I guess I would restart my computer to get it to come back on again. I'll try that. (boy do I miss using mac OS9 and my CD of illustrator, it was so easy. Pay and go.)

I'll let you know how my adventures in the clouds works out, if it does. . . . lol

I opened a new discussion on what to do if the creative cloud icon on your computer signs you out but doesn't offer an area to sign in to creative cloud.

No sign in link on the creative cloud icon

Okay, to sum up my "adventure" with creative cloud and using illustrator:

You can't lease illustrator on it's own then use it. You can use a trial version on it's own.

You have to send out an invitation to yourself from within your creative cloud application, then reply to that invitation from an email indicating you accept to use the software. . . . I think that's what I did.

Now I can blissfully forget all this and just get on with my work, . . . I think.
