I have a client in the Construction Estimating business who works with very large pdf files (50 to 60mb). We have noticed that these problems are occurring on all machines. They are using Adobe Acrobat DC Pro on the newest version. Sometimes when a large file is opened, it will lock up adobe or another program that is also open. For example: outlook, excel, etc. It will also crash when opening a large file as well. These machines all have the same exact specs. During these issues, it doesn't seem to be stressing the machine hardware at all either. Is there some settings that can be tweaked to allow it to use more of the system resources if needed to help keeping these large files more stable and to prevent locking down the machine?
The computers all have the same specs, which are as follows:
OS: Windows 7 Professional x64 with all updates
Proc: Intel Xeon E5-2620 v4 @2.10Ghz (boosted to 3.00GHz) with 8 Cores Hyper-threaded to 16 Threads
32GB DDR4 RAM at 2133MHz
NVIDIA Quadro K1200 4GB VRAM
Western Digital SSD
Gigabit Network
We have tested with files located on server and on local machine.
Thanks for your help.
