Lightroom Installer is not Responding

I have downloaded Lightroom installer (free trial) 3 times now, I double click the icon in the pop up window and the LR icon goes down into my dock and starts bouncing. It eventually stops bouncing and at that point the application stops responding. It's done this several times now. I am logged in, but under all troubleshooting for downloading & installing it says I should get an error code but I am not getting to that point.
