Images not appearing as thumbnails

Hi

I am using Adobe Robohelp 7 on a Win XP version 2002 on a P3 machine.

The problem I am facing is that when I generate the Webhelp - the images appear too large, the requirement I have been communicated clearly says that the images should appear as thumbnails and should enlarge after the user clicks on them.

Please guide me in achieving this.

Thanks
Writer_x

Hello Writer_x and welcome to the RH community.

Can you provide us with a little more detail please. How are you achieving this effect? Javascript? If so, can you post it?

Hi McAndrew

Thanks for looking into this..

My colleague converted a framemaker file to a Robohelp HTML Project file. I am just generating the Webhelp.

Not sure if javascript is involved anywhere or not.

Regards
Girish

Hi Girish.
Can you go back to your colleague and find out what they have done to display the image in this manner? If we don't know this we can't help any further. One question though, does the same behaviour happen in the generated output (i.e. before you publish)?

Would I be right in guessing that in the FM document the images are full size as FM is for printed output but the requirement from you is to display a thumbnail that becomes full size if clicked?

If so that effect can be achieved but not from functionality built into RH. What you need is some javascript and each of your images in the two sizes required. RH will be set to display the smaller image. You need some javascript that displays the full image when the user clicks the thumbnail or hovers over it. You'll find that sort of script by Googling.

You can make the thumbnail a hotspot and create a link to the large image but that may not work the way you would want.
