Audition has encountered a fatal error and needs to shut down?

Running audtion cs5.5 on windows 7 64bit. Every time i try to open a certain .sesx file i get the dreaded meassage "audition has encountered a problem and needs to shut down". I uninstalled and reinstalled the software. didnt work, not sure what to do. anything helps thank you!

Best thing is to follow the advice from the FAQs Audition Crashed. Now what? However since CS6 is no longer officially supported you may not get an answer from Adobe on this one. But Audition's log files may give a clue as to what caused the failure. The last and previous logs are stored in Audition's settings folder  'C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Audition\5.0\logs'

Note that CS6 settings are in the 5.0 folder, as that was it's official version number.
