Hello!

Question - is there any way to have Acrobat convert PDFs to Word 2010 or higher?  Currently, we have Adobe Acrobat XI version 11.0.21.  When we open a PDF and convert it to Word (File -- Save As Other - Word Document) and open it in Word, it opens as a .docx but is in compatibility mode which is causing issues for our workflows.  I found that in the properties of the .docx, it is in compatibility mode because it is formatted for Office 2007, instead of Office 2010 and higher.  If you open a 2007 .docx in 2010, it will display in compatibility mode.  Thanks!

I am not aware of any mechanism that will change the format of the exported MS Office documents. All the options you have available are in Acrobat's Preferences: Go to the "Convert from PDF" section, and then select the appropriate format (e.g. Word Document). You will then see the options available for the selected format.
