I have troubles when exporting my Indesign document (brochure) to a swf file. It generates an extra white page before my first and last page. How do I prevent that from happening or how do I resolve that?

SWF is an obsolete format – such documents won't be readable on many devices.

Really...to which format should I export it to then??

SWF is dead. It won’t work on any mobile device nor will it work on any desktop without flash player installed. Adobe has already announced that they will cease development in the near future.

The popular digital formats are Reflowable text epubs, Fixed layout epubs, Adobe publish online, iBooks (Mac only) and of course PDF. Each has advantages (features) and disadvantages.

Have a look at the tutorial I mentioned, it discusses all of these individually.
