Hey guys

I am not sure why but I had originally created some graphics that had very smooth paths.

I was in a new file and creating something with a brush effect and I am not really sure what I did but it seems almost everything with a path/stroke has a brush effect. Not really sure why.

Can anyone help please! I'll add a pic to help explain.

If you look at the bigger one it has some sort of brush effect to it.

Sorry about the other pic being so small I had exported this exact same asset before hand. So this is the same circle. Small one I had exported a while ago but when I go to the AI file it looks like this now.

Open the Brushes panel and make sure that you don't still have the brush selected?

On the control panel make sure the brush is selected to Basic.

Always check the appearance panel as well to make sure your brush is not selected!

Illustrator inherits the tools you used last...set it to default if you do not want to work with the previous tool.

I second Kurt's suggestion. It appears as though your video card is not ready for GPU acceleration.

Hey all thanks for the help!

Chanaart I made sure it wasn't selected but its still had that brush look to it.

Kurt and larry yalls suggestion worked! thanks so much.

I have been using Illustrator for a bit and it never has done that. Why would it just start randomly?

Also is it hurting me not having the gpu acceleration on?

Thanks so much for yalls help!
