hi there,
I recently bought Canon 5D Mark IV, took some photos and tried to open Raw file on Photoshop CS5 and it doesn't open. It says the device is not supported by Camera Raw. Updated Camera Raw to the latest version (9.10.1) and still the same problem. What do I do? I don't want to sign up for cloud....
Thanks for your help!
Boilerplate text:
If you prefer processing RAW images with ACR instead of the camera maker’s proprietary software you might want to petition them to allow shooting DNG so that Adobe does not have to play catch-up with each new camera model’s RAW format.
Please see for yourself which version of Camera Raw supports a camera and which version of Photoshop is compatible with that ACR version:

Using the free DNG Converter would be an alternative.

How exactly did you update Photoshop CS5’s ACR plug-in to 9.10.1 when Photoshop CS5 is only compatible with up to ACR 6.7?

When you buy a new camera expect to need to upgrade Photoshop. It isn't cloud software, that's just a name marketing thought would be sexy.
