Mobile Video Breaks Across Breakpoints

I have a responsive site. When a user triggers a video on mobile it goes full screen. However, if they change the orientation, there's a pretty good change they will trigger a breakpoint. This causes the video to exit full screen and stop playing as everything resets.

This is pretty terrible from a user's perspective. Is there any thoughts on how to prevent this?

Also can you please tell if it is an embedded MP4 video or a YouTube video widget used by you?
