Make link option greyed out?

I am unable to right click and make link while in the WYSIWYG for DWCC2017. it shows unclickable.

A few days earlier, I'd no such issues.

I'm using HTML5 pages. Even old pages where I had made links by right click are not working in similar fashion.

I don't used DW any longer but when I did I coded everything directly into the code. Have you tried adding the link while you are in Design view rather than Split view. Split view worked in previous versions but DW has changed so much over the last few years and bugs have crept in, so its worth a go.

I would go with the nuclear option and run the CC Cleaner Tool followed by a reinstallation.

That will completely wipe any trace of DW, and its supporting files, from your system and allow you to do a fresh install without any left-over file affecting the new software.

This is not an HTML (or similar) document

Give it an extension of .html and see if that fixes the problem

no, it doesn't. i've several other html files where i've tried to use link, but i cant.

i think the issue is with dreamweaver cc 2017 update. I installed the it on a different system using creative cloud application and i'm facing the same issue there too.

I can confirm that this issue is seen with DW 17.5 on Windows 10.

I see it works fine on Win 7. Bug is logged internally, we will prioritize it for fixing.
