I had cancelled my membership a long time ago yet I was still being charged even though I didn't use it. Additionally, it was not made clear that I would be getting into a contract when signing up, I was made to believe it was just monthly payments. When I contacted support they didn't help just sent me here. I want a refund and am considering taking serious action. Adobe has scammed me far enough.

When did you join?
It looks like Adobe has recently changed their payments options.
Today, the website's default option is Monthly, no annual contract. Previously, the default option was Annual, paid monthly but that option is gone. See screenshot.

This is an open forum with "some" Adobe staff participation, so you are going to have to contact support again to be sure your subscription is really cancelled

Hi Xavier,
I see you have an Adobe account under the same ID as with forums. The subscription under this ID has been canceled.
While purchasing the subscription you had signed up certain legal terms which had clearly mentioned the cancellation fee.
Please see the terms again for reference: Legal subscription terms | Adobe
You may Contact Customer Care for better clarification.
Feel free to update the thread for any other questions.
Thanks
Kanika
