InDesign no longer linking to CC library

I have several documents which all link to items in my CC library. Suddenly InDesign is showing them as missing links and won't allow me to relink. When I try I get the error:

Either the file does not exist, you do not have permission, or the file may be in use by another application.

However,  I can download the said items in photoshop from the library.

Any ideas?

Hi doverbroecks,

As per your query, you InDesign is unable to link to CC Libraries. Please check if CC libraries are working on InDesign (Window>CC Library ) Does it shows your files or its blank?

If that is also blank please follow steps shared in below-mentioned help article:

Solution to the issue: Adobe Creative Cloud Libraries panel doesn't load in desktop products

Kindly update the discussion if you need further assistance with it.

Thanks,

Srishti

If you use a cloud service such as Onedrive for example in the last update, the original files are retained on the server while only virtual copies remain on your computer so the file is downloaded only when you click to open it ... saving space on the hard disk.

But for those who do our job is a problem because applications no longer find their files as if they were not in the hard drive.

If it's your case, go to the cloud setting and disable the save space option by choosing to keep the original files on your computer.
