Import in Lightroom : cannot not find importable files

Hello,

I am using LR since many years, and I imported so much images  ...

Since yesterday, LR CC cannot find files with the import functionnality. I reinstalled LR, but it still does'nt work.

I checked Java, cleaned the registry, reboot ... what's happening ?

Explain this sentence in a LOT more detail.

LR CC cannot find files with the import functionnality.

Import does not "find" files. Import expects YOU the user to indicate what files are supposed to be imported.

So we need to understand EXACTLY and in great detail what is happening or not happening. If possible, show us screen captures.

OK : I have images in the "à importer" folder. This is .NEF files.

In the Import Module, I do not see anything.

Have please a look at the two images bellow.

It's the same if the images are on a SD card.

And it's strange. I have on my Laptop another account, with this second one I do not have this problem.

Can you see the images if you select Ajouter rather than Copier? Your screen shots indicate that the images are already located in a folder Lightroom recognizes and you should be Adding them rather than Copying them.

What happens if you expand the Destination panel, and also make sure that a valid destination folder is selected.

It is the same with ajouter.

But I just expanded the Destination panel, and it began to work normaly. OK it works, but it's a bug : I used a preset to import, and I never have to worry about the destination pannel.

Thanks, but beware of this bug ...I find nowadays too much instability particularly with the developp module and with the paste parameter function.

Since you said the previous comments in this thread did not solve your problem, we need to actually see a screen capture of what you are seeing. Stating that you have the same problem as the others in this thread apparently is wrong, otherwise the solution above, that worked for other people, would have worked for you.

4 days now, and still no help.  I shoot over 1000 photos a day, and projects are backing up.  I have been working through PS, but I need LR up and running.  I still cannot import files.  Is there a person I can contact?

Please upload another screen shot with your destination panel expanded. The top right of your screen shot indicates the destination as your local user drive: users/katie/mypictures not your external hard drive as you've described.

that was just one screen shot, it doesn't matter what the destination folder is.  Lightroom does not recognize any files.  I understand you are looking very hard for something I am doing wrong. 

We can end this thread now, I am getting quality help from another source outside of Adobe.  They actually read and thought about the issue instead of assuming that I didn't know what I was doing.
