My case still remains unresolved.

I bought the CD for Photoshop years ago in Australia from Adobe.

I used it for several years, legitimately.

My PC crashed about a month ago.

Since then I have not been able to use it, because you insist on my providing the activation number of an earlier version.

I have done so, but you don't accept it.

This is unjust and patently absurd.

If you will not allow me to use my paid for CD, I will have to take legal advice.

I don't know what your motives are, but it is time you re-assessed the situation.

Regards,

Michael Faunce-Brown

You should direct your important message to Adobe representatives. This is a user to user forum (provided by Adobe) and we are just fellow users of the software. We cannot acknowledge or act on your message because we aren't Adobe staff. Best of luck.

you insist on my providing the activation number of an earlier version.

I have done so, but you don't accept it.

Providing the serial number from an earlier version is a normal requirement when reinstalling software which was an upgrade from an earlier version.

Are you certain that you are providing a valid serial number (do not post the serial number here) for the earlier version?

Valid upgrades for CS5 were CS2 through to CS4. Your earlier version serial number should be 24 digits, no alpha characters.

What is the error message you receive?
