Why can I not save documents?

I have acrobat pro and can not save as the same options are greyed out

Hi Tonys,

As per the issue description, the Save option is greyed out in Acrobat Pro DC, Is that correct?

If the "Save" option is out, then please try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Check for any pending updates from Help>Check for updates.
  • Repair the installation files of Acrobat from Help>Repair Installation.

If the issue still persists, then please remove the Acrobat Pro and reinstall it. Assuming you are using a Windows machine, remove the Acrobat using Adobe Cleaner tool: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

If the "Save As" option is greyed out, then please try the troubleshooting steps:

  • Navigate to Edit>Preferences>General deselect these two options:
  • Show online storage when opening files.
  • Show online storage when saving files.
