Save to CC Library: Preserve layers, but constrain to visible area?

I want to use CC libraries to essentially store PSDs, showing the visible area and only placing the visible area when I drag the asset into another app.

Right now, when I copy selected layers to the CC library, it stores everything inside and outside the visible area on the canvas. I'd like the visible area only so that when I use the asset, I don't have to recrop it in some fashion.

Is there some way to do this? Apologies if this is a dumb question. 😃

If I recall, the reason why you don't see constraints as you've composited them is because Photoshop is assuming you want to reuse that (those) asset(s) elsewhere, maybe even in another document with different dimensions. It really doesn't work the way the interface for Creative Cloud for files does. (You can truly upload your PSDs as they are there and have the thumbnails represent the actual document. See assets.adobe.com.) Bridge CC, of course, can also best represent PSDs as they look locall

OK thanks, I guess I understand that then, I just wish I could have the option. I think I'll just create a flattened layer of the image and add that to the library, and update that where necessary. Thanks.
