Hello,

I have a corporate client who’d like to use these clips. (comp file names here)

AdobeStock_51471935_Video_HD_Preview.mov

And they would use this video we are creating on their youtube channel, audience is B2B. And also they will have the video in a sales deck that their sales team uses.

What license covers this type of use? Are these clips ok to use in this way?

Thanks.

Hi Chris,

In addition to Twarita's post, as per the license terms, you may use the asset in print, presentations, broadcasts, websites, and on social media sites. However, you may not share or distribute the asset in any way that would let others use the asset without licensing it themselves.

So directly downloading the video from Adobe Stock and uploading to social sites is not the right approach, however, you can definitely use some clippings or background of the video footage in your corporate

Hi Chris,

Videos available are On-demand (HD videos are $79.99 and 4K are $199.99 )but as per your current used case, the videos cannot be used for Youtube broadcast or usage.

I am afraid that it will not adhere the license terms since anything uploaded On YouTube is stored in YouTube database and can be used for future use. You may not distribute the digital asset by posting it online or in any other way that would let other people use the asset without licensing it themselves.

You may refer to https://www.adobe.com/content/dam/acom/en/legal/servicetou/Adobe_Stock_Terms-en_US-20170630_2200.pdf  for more details.

Let me know if this answers your question.

Is there a way to pay for an extended license? I’m sure that a large portion of the material generated from adobe stock video ends up on youtube. Any way that a special usage license and fee can be made?

Hi Chris,

I am afraid that there is no such option available for the stock videos as they are already on demand purchases.

Thanks Sheena,

On this thread there is a person using a still photo on youtube and seems to be allowed. Are still adobe stock photos allowed on youtube but not adobe stock video clips. Want to clarify. Thank you very much.

Hi Chris,

Regarding the query posted above- the video used on YouTube is available for public use and anyone can share or download the entire video. Hence we do not allow the video to be public.

For the images used in the video- the image cannot be extracted from a video, the user is only using it in a background of the video. The image cannot be extracted from the content.

Feel free to update this thread in case of any additional questions.

Regards,

Twarita
