I don't seem to be able to open a .psd file which I created and worked on for 1/2 the day yesterday. I always get "Could not complete your request due to a program error". Whether I open PS by clicking the file in Finder or locating and opening it from within PS, I get the same result.
I reviewed many processes and ran the apparently most relevant, more or less in this order:
- Set permissions for [me] in User & System Libraries and Applications. For some of them I am not authorised. Its a personal computer and I am the only user, so THAT confused me a little.
- Updated PS & the OS
- Reset preferences for PS
- Changed text engine from East Asian (default) to Middle Eastern
- Uninstall and reinstall PS
