Quick edit for SASS/SCSS not generated via Dreamweaver

I quite enjoy the quick edit (Cmd/Ctrl+E) function in Dreamweaver, but it's pretty useless if you're not generating your CSS files via the built-in SASS compiler as it just references the compiled CSS file. Anyone got a solution for this?

Brackets doesn't seem to have a problem with this ...I assume it just references the sourcemap to find the correct rule. Surely this should be easy enough to implement?

Please submit a feature request.  That's the best possible way to share ideas with the Development Team.

Isn't this an totally obvious feature suggestion? I mean, it's cool, that Adobe added SASS/LESS and direct edit is also cool, but pointless if direct edit doesn't edit the .less/.scss but the rendered .css (which is overwritten with the next change in SASS/LESS).

I can't believe this feature doesn't exist. When promoting Dreamweaver, Adobe should have a disclaimer that all of the cool css editing features are completely worthless with SASS/LESS.

Incredibly, that's a negative.

Please note the answer and that there is nothing more that we as users can do.

Having said that and as a fervent Sass coder, I have no problem with how Dreamweaver handles pre-compiled files. Of particular note is the fact that Dreamweaver can never trace the origin of the pre-compiled files because, in the document, there is no link back to the SASS files.

Ok, the Dreamweaver site does register the source and the output folders and this could be put to use to incorporate your suggestions. All the more reason to take note of Nancy's answer.

Wappler, the only real Dreamweaver alternative.

There is reference to the pre-compiled files via sourcemaps though. Brackets manages it just fine.

But yes, I have submitted a feature request long ago, thank you.
