I'm not a GoPro owner. I know little to nothing.
That said, there have been GoPro owners that have had issues due to some GoPro models having a variable frame rate. That is very much unusual for video footage and Premier Elements has had difficulty with it. A fix has been to use software that GoPro provided to change it to a fixed frame rate. One way to check the footage is to use the shareware "MediaInfo". You can also Google for "gopro variable frame rate" and find a variety of discussions.
Good luck. I hope this helps.

Quicktime 7 adds components that may be necessary in order to edit some video formats.
Because the Quicktime Player itself can be a security risk, you can opt to install the components but not the player during installation -- or you can install the whole package and disable the Quicktime Player file by changing its suffix from .exe to .old.
