Hi,

I don't find a way to activate face recognition in the new lightroom CC, it was easy with the classic version.

Anyone know how?

Thanks

So we get no face recognition/tagging and no geotagging in Lightroom CC... Hmm... IMHO two very serious ommissions.

Take a minute to understand where Lightroom is going. New Lightroom CC has not omitted anything. It's slowly building back into the Lightroom you're already familiar with but it's not there yet.

Lightroom CC Classic = old Lightroom CC with enhanced features

New Lightroom CC = brand new version 1.0 product, brand new workflow, old name (seriously poor marketing by Adobe, guaranteed to cause confusion). Limited feature set for now. Further features to be added in due course.

Sorry, but your answer is complete bull****...

A version 1.0 is no excuse for being feature incomplete compared to the old rendition. Especially if the vendor advertises it as the new cloud version of an older software and gives no timeframe. I had to waste my time to find out myself that

LR CC has no face recognition

LR CC has no geotagging

LR CC has no proper keyword management

LR Android cannot upload videos while the iOS version can.

Adobe can build what they want and release what they want. But they should talk about it and don't waste my time investigating it. And the omission of videos in the Android is completely stupid to say the least (and again there is not a single word about that in the Play Store description).

And BTW: Kudos to "The Lightroom Queen" for the comparison. But something like this has to be in big letters on the Adobe website.

And BTW2: I've cancelled my Photo subscription and use something completely different now...

Glad you've found something which works for you. Care to let us know which other software you're using instead? Might help others.

Fully agree with edisso.   Please name one other product form another manufacturer that makes a new version of a product that is a stripped down version of an old and wants the same money?   Saying "consider where it is going" and "it hasn't omitted anything" when it literally has omit huge features.  makes zero sense as folks are paying for the product to use now and now it is a shell of what it was.
You need to set away from the apologist, cool-aid you are downing by the gallon.   Folks like you are the reason they aren't concerned with giving customers the middle finger as you will justify whatever they do to you as some great part of some future plan.

Ok then I'll stick with "Photos" on my Mac for now, until Lightroom evolve to a more mature product.

I was expecting MORE features for a new product not LESS.

But I was pleased by the good sync between my iPhone, Mac and PC, "Photos" is a pain on PC.

Hello,

that there is no facial recognition in Lightroom CC hidden Adobe in small print. This is more than dubious so you are forced to continue using Lightroom Classic and pay more money for less features.

Sorry, but this is not serious and more than a bug.
