Since this is very new and as of today there's only a handful of topics under "Get Started" and "Tutorials", but no "User Guide" here

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC Learn & Support

I have not been able to find anything regarding support of the Book, Map, Slideshow and Print modules in the new Lr CC. Have they just vanished?

It is just a start. The new Lr CC is a 1.0 release and Adobe plans to add new features with future dot releases.

What it seems to me is that Lr is shifting from the most advanced and feature rich workflow tool for photographers to a cloud album viewer/editor for the masses. No ability to select a layout and print? Since when has this been a secondary feature for photography?

So why do you charging so much for the subscription?

Perhaps you intended to download Lightroom Classic, which is the next version on from Lightroom CC 2015 / Lightroom 6, and still has the output modules? The new Lightroom CC app is only a 1.0 version of a new cloud-native app, so it doesn't have all of the old features.

I understand that the photographers' tool is now Lr Classic CC and the masses' tool is now Lr CC.

This makes me worried on several levels:

- the mass market viewer/editor takes over the name of the professional tool

- this hints that Adobe's focus on Lr shifts from professional to mainstream

- there's a violent push towards subscription with the termination of perpetual licensing

- who can guarantee that Adobe will not pull the plug from Lr Classic in 5 years the same way they decided to terminate the perpetual licenses today?

I've been extremely satisfied with Lr since day 1. Now, this is a serious blow to professionals. Not just financially, but mostly of trust.

Back to the original question. Does this mean no to all 4 functions mentioned in the subject?

Can please someone clarify whether any/some/none of these functions (which were present in the old Lr CC, now Lr classic CC) are found in the new Lr CC?

None of these features are in version 1.0 of the new cloud-native Lightroom CC. If they're important to you, add a feature request at Lightroom CC | Photoshop Family Customer Community

The "if they are important to you" part is also worrisome.

If printing is not important to Adobe in an application that carries the name of their top photography software, that speaks volumes.

In essence this is stripping down core functionality from something to make it mass market... while keeping a clone of the old functionality on the side as "legacy". I do not see any warranty of longevity in something that is tagged as a legacy product. If the "modern" mass market branch makes a lot more earnings, why bother maintaining the legacy branch? What does it matter if the pros used to use it?

We’re not phasing out Lightroom Classic and remain committed to investing in Lightroom Classic in the future. We know that for many of you, Lightroom Classic, is a tool you know and love and so it has an exciting roadmap of improvements well into the future. But please hold us accountable as we make updates in the following months and years to let us know if we’re meeting your expectations.

Let me rephrase... Adobe will be prioritizing adding features to the new LRCC app, so feature requests and votes on those feature requests will help to determine the order and priorities. For example, I'd expect Print to be a much higher priority than say the Book module, so it would need to be added sooner.

Here's an analogy of the main issue here:

A US car maker has a small local plant. They make low volume, high cost, high performance cars. They buy a Korean plant. Now they can make high volume, low cost, low performance cars. They hand over their brand to the Korean model. They also keep their US model as a legacy model.

Which model dies first when the shareholders ask for cuts?

I've just put up a blog post on that subject, which might be of interest Is Lightroom Classic end-of-life?
