Hello everyone,

I hope you can help me here I have Adobe Photoshop CC and I got some problem with The tool Focus Area. I've tried many different ways to function this tool but It didn't work. I looked here and there and still the problem appear. If you can help me I'll appreciate that.

Hi

It looks like you have multiple GPUs installed which is known to cause issues in Photoshop. See section 7 in this link on how to use just one GPU:

Thank you so much for your respond, you helped me a lot. I do not have multiple GPUs but from the link that you sent I could find the problem which is the GPU; (like what Adam Jerugim said) I`ve tried all the steps but I didn`t solve the problem. The last think I can do (Referring to the link that you sent) 10) If none of the troubleshooting steps above solve the issue, your last option is to purchase a compatible graphics card, or completely disable the graphics processor.

But I did thing that solve the problem temporary; from this point in the link: Unsure if your graphics processor or driver is the cause? See Disable the graphics processor to quickly narrow down the issue for more information.
- Deselect Use Graphics Processor from Choose Edit > Preferences > Performance (Windows) or Photoshop > Preferences > Performance (Mac OS). And after I finished using Focus Area tool, I reselect Use Graphics Processor again.

Hi

Although you say you do not have multiple GPUs, the system info shows that Photoshop is seeing both Nvidia and Intel GPUs. It could be that one is built into your motherboard as integrated graphics. I would look again at section 7 before changing cards.

Thank you so much. Like what you said, I have two GPUs and when I disable the other one which is the Intel, I found the problem solved but I got other function problems. So, I downgrade Nvidia and this also solved the problem as well.

There's a known issue with the latest nVidia drivers which could cause Focus Area to fail. Either use the integrated Intel GPU, or roll back to an older driver. We're planning on addressing this issue with an update asap. Thanks.

I will post here when a solution becomes available. In the meantime you can download an older version of the nVidia driver to workaround this issue.
