Problem printing to Canon ipf 6400 with PS CC 2018

After installing the latest PS 2018, I can no longer print to my Canon ipf 6400. Do I have to get a new plugin for the Canon?

Is that printer listed in  Photoshop Print dialog?  I think Photoshop just uses the Printers installed on your system local or remotely and uses the printer device driver install on your system.

Yes it is. I was able to print to this printer from PS CC 2017 prior to installing PS CC 2018.

In addition, I am able to print to this printer from other programs.

Finally, I have turned off the Preview option and now I am able to print. It seems that the problem is solely in the Preview module. But I need and want the Preview option.

What happens is that when I click to print with the Preview option selected, the Preview comes up but then immediately stalls. It is not populated with the usual information, and nothing I do closes this frozen Preview window. I have to restart my computer to get rid of it.
