The share icon (the square with an arrow pointing upward) does not appear on my photoshop options bar.  It does not appear in the file menu either. (Only an option for "Share on bechance ...).   The About Photoshop CC info  lists the version as 2017.1.1 Release.

How can I get this icon to appear?

Hi Elaray2,

Have you updated to the latest release of Photoshop CC?

If the System info is showing the version as 2017.1.1, that means it might've not updated successfully.

Also, are you referring to the same option as listed here? New features summary | October 2017 release of Photoshop CC

Thanks,

Akash

You need the latest version of CC which shows in Photoshop Help > System Info as "Adobe Photoshop Version: 19.0 20170929.r.165"

Go to your CC desktop app and check for updates. If it shows no updates available then try signing out of your account on the app then back in again.

I'm on 20170929.r.165 as well, and do not have the share button or anything under FILE | ......

Running Windows 7 Pro if that matters.

If you have no share options in the options bar or the File menu and you are on the latest version , then try resetting your preferences

Hi

What version of Windows do you have?

See this thread : Quick share icon?

The response from Adobe is that Quick Share needs a minimum of the Windows 10 "Creators" edition to run.
