I'm creating a Calendar in Photoshop CC 2017 and I need to create printer ready files that include the bleeds etc. What is the best way to do that?

I am creating a wall calendar in Photoshop CC. I've added 1/8 inch bleeds that the printer requests I add to the files I send.  I saw  a video where creating print ready files with the arrows and bleeds was very simple. They printed the document to a pdf and clicked off a couple options.  Only trouble is PDF is not an option that I see when I go to print.

I just need a way to create print ready pdfs for this project preferably in Photoshop.  I have Illustrator and Indesign my computer but haven't used them and would need a guide with step by step instructions if they are the only answer to do this.

Thanks for your help!

David

Assuming your calendar is like a poster printed in color on one side of the sheet only, set up the New document in InDesign with Print as the intent, select the trimmed size and add 1/8" bleed on all edges, and do not select Facing  Pages. Work in RGB color mode.

Optimise the images in Photoshop and to a resolution of 300ppi at the final print size. Place the images in your InDesign document and add text and any background colors etc in that application.

If the calendar is to be printed commercial litho use the InDesign Acrobat PDF presets and select PD/X-4, select trim marks and tick Use Document Bleed Settings.
