Scrubby zoom just stopped working. Also when I am zoomed out of a document, it looks choppier than before and I have to be at 100% zoom to have a clear view. After poking around I noticed photoshop was set to use my built in laptop graphics instead of my Nvidia card.
I can't remember my steps to fix this, but I got photoshop using my NVidia card again. This did not solve the problem.
The following are all set:
- Use graphics processor
- Use OpenCL
I have tried:
- reinstalling photoshop
- resetting photoshop preferences
- rolling back graphics driver
None have fixed this. Any ideas on next steps?

You have to add the sniffer as well as Photoshop.
The sniffer evaluates your card and turns on and off graphics features for Photoshop.
Program Settings and add Photoshop.exe and sniffer.exe
See this document Troubleshoot Photoshop graphics processor (GPU) and graphics driver issues and look at the NVdia Panel example.
When finished, reboot your PC to be sure the settings take.

Thanks for the reply. Added sniffer but did not work.
The next step on that help doc did though.
Disabled the built in Intel Graphics Processor. It was running alongside the Nvidia card. This fixed this issue!

Thanks for telling me that. I'll note that step in case others need to know.

While that worked temporarily, at some point it just stopped working again. And, caused an additional issue of not being able to get to the Nvidia control panel (just gives an error when trying to open it):
"Nvidia display settings are not available.
You are not currently using a display attached to an Nvidia GPU.
Back to square 1.
Any additional suggestions? Thanks for your help.

Hard for me to advise outside of Photoshop. sorry to hear it crashed.
I do not have Nvidia, so if their forums or tech can help that would be better. You can look for an earlier or experimental driver on their website. New drivers can also be buggy with older hardware.
If you have CC, you can open a chat with Adobe Tech Support and see if they have additional advice. They should be open soon.
