Making the upper side dark and the bottom bright

Hello, I have an image and I want the upper half to be in dark purple and the bottom half to be bright purple, How can I do this?

It sounds like you want a graduated fill layer blended with the image layer (perhaps with color blending mode). Can you share the image ?

Hey, thanks for the reply but I figure it out I just had to change the gradient as you said.

Btw, do you know how can I change the writing flow in Arabic with Photoshop cc 2018?
