Hello,

i made a huge mistake:  i reorganized some images in Windows Explorer, now, of course, all the metadata in Lightroom 5 are gone..  Is there any possibility to recover them?  there are more than 300 images and it was a lot of work..

please help!

The only thing you should do is in Lightroom to click on the question marks on the images and reconnect the images to their new locations. You can also right click on the folders that the images were in in Lightroom if you mostly moved folders around. Here is more info on what to do when you move images on your hard drive: https://www.lightroomqueen.com/articles-page/move-photos-another-hard-drive-leaving-catalog/

...i recovered a catalog, where "only 100" images are not edited.  but still, would love to know if there is another way to get back some metadata.
