Cant see psd or tiff images in PS.... only icons appear

When trying to see a already processed file, the psd or tiff files appear as only icons, not the images.  See screen shot.

What you are looking at is an abbreviated Explorer dialog provided by Windows.

PSDs will require an external codec to render thumbnails. SageThumbs download | SourceForge.net and this should also help with Tiffs.
