Neither video clips or stills show in the preview window. I just updated to Premiere Pro CC v12.0.

I'm a beginner so I might not have the terms correctly but I can drag an drop from my folder into the little workspace. Then when I double click or move into the editing workspace nothing shows up on the preview. I can hear the audio, but no video or still image shows up.

Don't do it that way.  Go directly to the video card manufacturer's site and you can download any of the available drivers.

There may even be an update that you didn't have.

See if this helps:

FAQ: Why does audio or video not go to the track where I drop it?

If that doesn't work, try updating or rolling back your video driver directly from the card manufacturer's site.

Unfortunately none of that worked. It seems that both audio and video patch goes in. But the preview screen is black. All my drivers are up to date.

I made this video in 11.0 before the update to 12.0. I've already finished it etc. But you can see both the video and audio part is up there in the two preview windows, but nothing shows. This happens no matter which clip (bottom left window) I click. Stills, video doesn't matter.

Think it will work to roll back to previous version of premiere pro? I have a project that I need to start on
