My copy of Lightroom has stopped working. The program appears in the process list for a few seconds, then disappears. No splash screen. This is on Windows 10
So far I've tried:
Signing out of creative Cloud and back in again (signing out and then starting Lightroom causes it to ask about signing in, but it then falls over)
Reinstalling Lightroom
Reinstalling or repairing most of C++ redistributable - from 2015 back to 2010. I've not tackled 2008 or 2005 because there are 11 bits of 2008 and 9 of 2005 and I'm worried I'll break something else if I uninstall any of it.
The application error log gives the following:
Faulting application name: lightroom.exe, version: 6.9.0.10, time stamp: 0x58b68ac4
Faulting module name: ucrtbase.dll, version: 10.0.14393.0, time stamp: 0x578997b5

Any suggestions what to try next?
Solved. Following 3 hours of effort from Adobe support, we found a problem with AppData\Local\Lightroom. Deleted that, it all took off.

I have the same issue. Preferences were reset.
It only happens when the Develop module opens. I have Photoshop CC installed as well and this is the first time I have tried opening Lightroom since the last Photoshop update.

I also have same issues. When I use the Develop module, LR is closed.
Does anyone know hot to fix it?

I'm not sure what you mean about 'when the develop module opens' Sounds like a different problem.
I've found the error logfile for mine; here's the end of it:

Update, I've tried renaming the catalog file. Lightroom notices that it isn't there, so I tell it to use a default one, then it falls over, same fault in the log

New version of Lightroom available today. Sadly hasn't fixed the problem.

Sadly not, though it did ask to reset the preferences, then fell over.
