Cant select text properly (driving me nuts)

This is driving me crazy.  Trying to select/highlight text the cursor is huge (the size of two lines).

So no matter where I position the cursor it will on select the lower line (so I can never select the top line

because I would have to move the text selection cursor outside the bounding box).

I tried "reset all tools" and nothing changed.

It's really making me crazy. Please. Thanks

I figured it out watching my own video immediately after posting.  I had used the baseline parameter to adjust the spacing rather than the leading.  I set the baseline back to zero, adjusted the leading so the lines were correctly spaced and the selection problem stopped, logically.
