Photoshop and InDesign not connecting

I had to uninstall and reinstall Photoshop CC2018; after that the images I had saved with the previous Photoshop either no longer load (it says "file non existent") or they do not connect with InDesign when I try to load them as images on a book; the Object-Fitting-Fill frame proportionally command just doesn't respond. Why is that, and why does the connection between PS and ID seem to be broken?
