    Extra code when using templates

      Hi everybody,

      I have a problem and I can't find a solution.
      A piece of code is better than a long explanation.

      I have a Template like this:

      <doc type .... <html>...
      <!-- TemplateBeginEditable name="main-about" -->
      <h2>Page Title</h2>
      <p>Your text.</p>
      <!-- TemplateEndEditable -->

      When I create a new page (based on this template) with Contribute, publish, save etc., when I have a look on the source generated, there is some extra code added outside the editable defined zone, like:

      <!-- TemplateEndEditable -->
      <p style="margin-bottom: 0;">...</p><div>...</div>
      and in blockquote tags as well.

      any ideas where the problem is from?
      and better, a solution? :)

      Thanks a lot

          I think you will have to check if you have Contribute to handle editing in 'web page editor' style or 'standard word processors' style.

          1. in the main menu gor to Edit, administer websites
          2. go ro Users and Roles
          3. pick your role and click Edit Role Settings
          4. go to Editing
          5. check the option: two line, as in webpage editors (using standard p tags)

          Hope this helps.

            > <!-- TemplateEndEditable -->

            Is the above template comment showing in the child pages you create?

            If it is, there's some problem with the workflow, that comment is only in
            .dwt templates. In child pages it would be <!-- InstanceEndEditable -->

            If the above doesn't apply-
            Things being added like this point to two possibles.

            One- does this page use the Insert Date feature?

            Two- possible syntax problem confusing things.

            url address to an uploaded page please?
