    Secure Folders

      Hi All

       

      I am wanting to embed a video behind a secure zone. I have already setup a secure zone and put the video behind it and people have to use a username and password to login which is great,

       

      My problem is that if someone was to download the site would the video download with the site? Is there a way of protecting a folder so even if someone knew the path it would make the video unaccesible.

       

      Is there a secure folder option where I can put my hidden video only accesible by members?

       

      I would appreciate your help on this.

          Hi,

           

          Unfortunately we do not have a secure folder feature.  Basically the only true way to to prevent file URL form being "leaked" would be to somehow lock the file with some additional password or to upload the file elsewhere (external file storage) to add some additional access password that perhaps only the subscriber of the secure zone would know. 

           

          I'll leave this open to the community to offer additional workaround suggestions as well.

            Hi Asad,

             

            Maybe you can use literature module and upload the video as a literature, add it to a secure zone, so that the customer needs to be logged in to view the video... You should be able to embed the the literature link the same way use embed the normal video link.

             

            As Sid says, our viewing permissions do not extend to static assets.
