edge animation with transparency

I set everything to tranparency but always get a white box.

I can use the web export and edit the code. Works fine but the oam file is not work. I always get a white box.

Is this a bug in edge?

I've had no problems with transparency in Edge. Have you used the tick box on your HTML Overlay Creator tools window to allow it to be transparent?

yes that is checked off. Still have a white box. Playback is awful on the ipad 3. Very slow. Have you had playback issues.

I am having the same problem of Edge animation and not transparent background in InDesign CS6, DPS Sprint 20. I am using Edge Preview 6.

In Edge I have a basic animation horizontaly.
The stage is set to transparent.
The background is set to transparent.
The stroke is set to transparent.

In InDesign
The web content is set to transparent and auto play, no interactions.

When the OAM file is placed in InDesign it has a light gray background and a dark gray stroke.

When the folio is run on an iPad, the animation still has a light gray background and a dark gray stroke.

Any ideas how to fix this, or is it a bug?

Did you add a poster image in Edge? If not, do so.

Hi Bob,

Just checked out aquafadas update. Why can't adobe integrate at least simple animations(fade in fade out and move in move out) inside indesign for DPS? Is this just going to be integrated in at a later date?

Hopefully when they integrate DPS into creative cloud this will be done. I am starting to find the whole edge integration 1 step to many for simple animation task.

I don't work for Adobe and I have no info on this but I would agree that it's something that is sorely needed.

i'm having same problem with transparent stage.i tried using css styling but it didn't help.still it's white. (background-color: rgba(255,255,255,0)

Are you on r24 and importing the .oam CS6?
I've definitely had the same problems in the past, but all seems fine at the moment I've been doing this today, and not bothered with a poster image. Make sure you have the latest EA version, it was updated end of last year and the latest DPS tools too

what do you mean by importing .oam? i'm using adobe edge to create html5 animated banner. after generating html file the background is white,not transparent.

i've removed text shadow and now the stage is transparent! but it shouldn't be like that. text with shadow looks much nicer.

I had a similar problem, where I would get the transparency on desktop, but not after updating to cloud. My folio settings were PDF, I changed them to automatic and rebuilt the folio and got my transparency back in the edge animation.

My head is sore from banging against the wall, though.
