1. Re: Export trimmed portions of a project
nealeh May 15, 2012 4:59 AM (in response to toloriidae)You set the WorkAreaBar to cover the segment you want to export. Using Alt+[ and Alt+] is the easiest way to position the Start and End segments of the clip.
Then, when exporting, you select the 'Use WorkAreaBar' checkbox. I think it is this second step you are missing.

toloriidae May 15, 2012 3:16 PM (in response to nealeh)Thank you so much Neale
It was actually the first option where I was going wrong, I was using the selection tool and thought I had told it what I wanted.
Worked perfectly...Thanks again Janet

the_wine_snob May 15, 2012 3:55 PM (in response to toloriidae)1 person found this helpfulThat WAB (Work Area Bar) has quite a few uses and features, and many never fully explore it.
This ARTICLE goes into more detail, and also outlines some of those other uses. Note: the screen-caps are getting a bit long-in-the-tooth, and Neale's are prettier, and more current.
Good luck, and happy editing,
